The Motorfluggruppe Zürich (MFGZ) is the oldest and largest motor flying club in Switzerland and one of its largest flight schools, located at Zurich Airport. Founded in 1928, MFGZ has offered pilot training since 1929 and operates in a professional international environment where students train side by side with commercial airline traffic. It is part of the Swiss Pilot School Association and meets European EASA standards. Training programs include Private Pilot License (PPL), Instrument Rating (IR), Commercial Pilot License (CPL), night flying, flight instructor courses, simulator training, and advanced ratings such as Multi Engine Piston (MEP) as well as the complex aircraft Pilatus PC-12 NG. The diverse fleet includes Sonaca S201, Diamond DA40 NG, Cessna 172, DA42 NG, and Pilatus PC12NG. Additional services include sightseeing flights over the Swiss landscape and comprehensive aircraft maintenance, certified in accordance with CAO regulations. The club fosters a strong community with events, lectures, and cross-country flights over the sea, and offers comprehensive aviation training at a major international airport.
