It operates one of the country's largest flight schools since 1929, offering pilot training programs including PPL, IR, CPL, night flying, flight instructor courses, and simulator training. Training occurs in a professional environment alongside commercial airline traffic on the same runways used by major passenger jets. The diverse fleet includes aircraft such as Sonaca S201, Diamond DA40 NG, Cessna 172, Piper PA-28 Archer II, DA42 NG, and Pilatus PC12NG, covering single-engine piston, multi-engine piston, and complex aircraft categories. Additional member services include scenic flights over Swiss landscapes and comprehensive flight maintenance following European standards. The club fosters camaraderie among members with regular social events, lectures, and navigation flights abroad, operating under member statutes and featuring a volunteer board from various professional backgrounds. Training infrastructure includes simulators, briefing rooms, handling services, and pilot lounges, emphasizing quality instruction by experienced pilots.
