Austrian Pilots Academy is an EASA and Austro Control certified Approved Training Organisation (ATO) headquartered in Salzburg, Austria. It focuses on high-quality theoretical and practical pilot training without time pressure, emphasizing strict safety standards and fostering a supportive flight community atmosphere. The academy offers a wide range of pilot training programs, from Light Aircraft Pilot License (LAPL) to Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), including various instrument ratings, flight instructor courses, and specialized trainings such as night rating, aerobatics, upset prevention and recovery training, and alpine training.
The academy operates four approved training locations in Austria and Bavaria, with its home base at Salzburg Airport (LOWS). Its diverse fleet consists of single-engine piston aircraft, light aircraft, multi-engine aircraft, and gliders.
Experienced flight instructors focus on more than exam preparation by instilling a strong safety mindset and good airmanship to support a successful pilot career. The Austrian Pilots Academy is a non-profit association linked with Fliegerclub Traunsee and Luftsportverband Salzburg and partners with Engl Flight Team in Eggenfelden.
