SCP Sportflieger-Club Porta e.V.<\/b> is an established German aviation club and flight school at Porta Westfalica airfield (EDVY). Founded in 1965, it has over 165 members, including 111 active pilots, and focuses on safe, structured flight training with a fleet of popular training aircraft such as the Cessna 172 and variants of the Piper PA-28. The club offers comprehensive pilot licenses, including the Private Pilot License (PPL A) and the Light Aircraft Pilot License (LAPL A), supplemented by thorough theory courses covering key topics such as air law, meteorology, navigation, and bilingual radio communication in English and German.
The training is organized in three progressive stages that enable solo flying in the traffic pattern, cross-country navigation flights, and preparation for practical exams. Additional services include night flying training, several levels of radio telephony certificates (BFZ I, BFZ II, AZF), flight instructor courses, and charter flights.
