You are airborne, but still in the control zone. You learn how to fly the cleared route, what to report, how Tower releases you, and how to make a short first call on the next frequency.
What you learn
- Fly the cleared route at or below the altitude limit
- Report the points Tower asks for, and leaving the zone
- Tell frequency change approved from contact
- Keep the assigned squawk until released, then set 7000
- Make a short first call with your full callsign
