IFR radio failure

When the radio fails under IFR, you fly a fixed procedure and ATC protects the airspace around it. You try every way to get through, transmit blind, and fly on to Munich in IMC or land nearby in VMC.

• Try every way to get through before you squawk 7600
• Transmit blind, and answer with ident when ATC asks
• Choose between 7600 in IMC and 7601 in VMC
• Hold your last level and speed for 20 minutes in IMC
• Start down at your expected approach time or your ETA
