The traffic circuit

14 views·Oct 5, 2026

At small airfields, aeroplanes fly the same racetrack around the runway, so everyone knows where to look. You fly it once, leg by leg, and learn which way it turns and how high it is flown.

What you learn

  • Explain why aeroplanes fly a traffic circuit
  • Name the legs from upwind to final
  • Say which way a standard circuit turns
  • Tell how high a circuit is usually flown

In playlists

  • Aerodromes and ground
  • Take-off, circuit and landing
