Vereinigung Aktiver Piloten e.V.

Vereinigung Aktiver Piloten e.V. is a combined aviation club and flight school located at Klausheide airfield near Nordhorn, Germany. Founded in 1980 as a non-profit association, it is dedicated to passionate pilots and instructors, many of whom maintain and fly their own historic aircraft. The school offers comprehensive pilot training programs including EASA LAPL (A), PPL (A), and SPL (ultralight) licenses, as well as specialized courses in night flying, tailwheel (spornrad) training, aerobatics, glider and banner towing, and radio communication licenses (BZF). The club promotes active flying participation by its members, who can charter club aircraft via an online reservation system. The fleet consists of light and ultralight aircraft equipped with modern avionics and collision avoidance systems. Located at ICAO EDWN, the school emphasizes thorough and correct flying coupled with understanding the meaning of "proper flying."
