Luftsportvereinigung Schwarzwald-Baar e.V. in Donaueschingen is a volunteer-run aviation club with a diverse fleet, including microlights, motor gliders, gliders, and a four-seat Piper PA 28. The club offers affordable pilot training, starting with the LAPL (A) license on motor gliders, with the option to progress to the SEP type rating for single-engine piston aircraft. Theory and radio telephony training is possible through cooperation with the nearby Nikolaus flight school at Donaueschingen Airport (EDTD). The location is ideal for year-round flying with powered aircraft and gliding over the Baar, the Black Forest, and the Swabian Alb regions. Members benefit from private hangar spaces and a strong community with events and competition participation.
