Luftsportvereinigung Schwarzwald-Baar e.V. in Donaueschingen offers comprehensive opportunities for aviation enthusiasts. The club operates a diverse fleet including ultralight aircraft like Breezer (D-MILO) and Eurostar (D-MAIK), the motor glider Scheibe SF 25C, several gliders (ASK 21, ASK 13, KA 8, ASW 19), and a four-seat Piper PA 28, as well as a Cessna 172. Training is available starting with the affordable LAPL (A) license on motor gliders, with possibilities to extend to SEP rating for single-engine piston aircraft, complemented by theoretical and radio communication education through cooperation with the nearby flight school Nikolaus at Donaueschingen airfield (EDTD). The location allows year-round motor flying, gliding over the Baar, Black Forest, and Alb regions, with facilities including instrument approaches and night flight capabilities. The club is volunteer-run and supports its members with private hangar space. It also organizes events and participates in competitions, fostering a strong aviation community.
