Brief description Luxembourg Flight Training Academy
Luxembourg Flight Training Academy (LFTA) is an EASA approved training organisation located at Luxembourg International Airport. Founded in 2012, LFTA provides comprehensive modular flight training from Private Pilot Licence (PPL) through to Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL), including night flying and instrument ratings. The academy emphasizes personalized training by experienced instructors, most of whom are active airline pilots, enhancing pilot preparation for professional careers.
LFTA operates a modern fleet of single and multi-engine piston aircraft equipped with Garmin avionics, alongside advanced flight simulators (AL250 and AIRLINER by Alsim) that enrich pilot training and screening. Situated at a busy commercial airport, students gain invaluable experience handling commercial air traffic and interactions with air traffic control early in their training.
The academy maintains strong partnerships with airlines such as Cargolux and Luxair, and offers outreach programs like DIMAS to secondary schools, fostering aerospace knowledge. LFTA's facilities include classrooms, briefing rooms, and flight training devices designed to uphold high training standards in a professional environment.
LFTA's distinctive focus on personalized instruction, real-world airport environment exposure, and comprehensive modular training options make it a notable institution for aspiring pilots aiming for careers in commercial aviation.
