Aeroclub Saarlouis e.V.<\/> is a non-profit flying club based at Saarlouis-Düren airfield (ICAO: EDRJ) in Germany. Founded in 1978, the club promotes affordable and community-oriented flying opportunities as well as pilot training. They operate the Aquila A210, a two-seat Very Light Aircraft with a Rotax 912 S engine, known for economical operation, precise handling and a large range of about 1000 km or over 5 hours of flight time.
The club offers pilot training under the Approved Training Organization (ATO) of Aeroclub-Saar e.V., including the Private Pilot License (PPL) for worldwide single-engine piston flying and the Light Aircraft Pilot License (LAPL) for EU-limited operation of aircraft up to 2 tons and four seats. Training options include night and instrument ratings, with practical and flexible learning approaches. Ultralight flight hours can replace some of the required training hours to reduce costs.
As a mostly volunteer-run club with no mandatory working hours, Aeroclub Saarlouis e.V. offers a welcoming environment for student pilots with accessible aircraft and experienced flight instructors.<\/
