Air Academy GmbH

Air Academy GmbH is a flight school based in Cologne, Germany, operating primarily at the Dahlemer Binz airfield about 50 km from Cologne. It specializes in ultralight aircraft pilot training, offering licenses including ultralight and sport pilot licenses, intensive courses completing in 16 days (also held on Mallorca), gyrocopter training, passenger authorization, and banner towing licensing. Due to a shortage of flight instructors, the school has temporarily suspended new student enrollments and paused flight school operations, focusing on providing information to aspiring pilots.

The Dahlemer Binz airfield features an 800-meter asphalt runway, staffed control tower, restaurant, and its own aircraft refueling station, providing optimal training and flying conditions. The school is recognized by the German Aero Club (DAeC) and the German Ultralight Association (DULV). Students come primarily from Cologne and nearby cities including Düsseldorf, Bonn, Leverkusen, and the region around Cologne/Bonn.
