FFL Fachschule für Luftfahrzeugführer GmbH is Germany's first independent flight school specializing in the training of professional pilots for commercial aviation and airline pilots. Centrally located at Essen/Mülheim regional airport, it offers a modern fleet ranging from the classic training aircraft to advanced twin-engine diesels and turboprop aircraft. The training follows airline standards with individual focus on each student. The programs include private pilot licenses (PPL), instrument flight ratings, commercial pilot licenses, airline transport pilot license (ATPL), multi-crew cooperation, jet orientation courses, upset prevention training, as well as instructor and dispatcher training. Experienced flight instructors from military, airline and corporate aviation provide high-quality training. The school places particular emphasis on professional radio telephony courses as part of pilot training.
