DFS Fliegerclub e.V., based at Egelsbach Airport (EDFE) in Germany, is an established aviation club founded in 1966 primarily by employees of the former German air navigation service. The club welcomes both licensed pilots and aspiring pilots from all professional backgrounds, not exclusively DFS staff. Its fleet features well-maintained single-engine piston aircraft classical models from Cessna and Piper, including Cessna 172S and 172R variants, Piper P28 variants, and the Diamond Katana DV20. The club offers a comprehensive pilot training program including LAPL, PPL, Instrument Rating (IR), CPL, and Night VFR, with theoretical and practical instruction tailored to individual schedules. IFR training is available in cooperation with a commercial instrument flight school using club aircraft. Social activities, training camps, group flights, and charity flights enrich the club's vibrant community. The club's balanced fleet and quality training environment make it suitable for student pilots seeking professional development and aviation camaraderie.
