The IFR clearance, element by element

You ask Salzburg Delivery for an IFR clearance and copy it as it comes. You see each element in the order ICAO sets, and read it all back with your callsign last.

What you learn

• Request an IFR clearance with callsign, position, ATIS and destination
• Copy a clearance in CRAFT order
• Keep a slot: airborne from 5 minutes before to 10 after
• Read the whole clearance back, callsign last
• Explain why the clearance does not clear you for take-off
