How a radio call is built

Every first radio call has the same four parts, just like a phone call. You hear D-EFGH ask Linz Tower for taxi, and learn how the answer comes back and what you read back.

What you learn

• Build a first call from its four parts
• Tell from the callsign whether an answer is for you
• Read back runways, heights, codes and frequencies
• Put your callsign at the end of a readback
• Ask ATC to repeat instead of guessing
