Flugsportverein Eggenfelden e.V. is a historic aviation club and flight school based at Verkehrslandeplatz Eggenfelden (EDME) in Germany. Founded in 1950, it fosters a passionate flying community across ages with a focus on flight training and general aviation activities. The club operates a fleet including the two-seat Diamond DV20-100 Katana, well-suited for initial training, and the four-seat Cessna 172S NAVIII Skyhawk equipped with a Garmin 1000 glass cockpit for night and IFR flights. Training programs cover a range of pilot licenses including LAPL, PPL, and instrument ratings, with experienced instructors providing thorough theoretical and practical education. The club is also actively involved in the Luftrettungsstaffel Bayern, contributing volunteer pilots and aircraft for emergency and disaster relief missions. Situated on site at its own hangar and building, the location offers excellent access to European destinations and amenities such as an on-field Italian restaurant. Monthly club evenings enhance the communal spirit, making it a respected aviation entity for aspiring pilots in the region.
