Die Fliegerschule Wasserkuppe is an established flight school at the Wasserkuppe aviation center in Gersfeld, Germany. It is located on the famous Wasserkuppe, known as the "mountain of flyers", and offers comprehensive pilot training programs for gliders and powered aircraft. Students can take part in individual and compact courses, beginner training and advanced training, including aerobatics and cross-country flying. The school operates a modern fleet of gliders and powered aircraft with types such as Duo Discus XLT, ASK 21, Discus-2c with electric FES drive, ASW 28-15, Robin DR 400, DA 20 Katana and DV HK 36 TTC Super Dimona. In addition to training, Aircraft Charter is also available. The school focuses on professional, flexible instruction with experienced flight instructors. It also offers flight vouchers, a flight simulator and is located in a place rich in aviation history and model gliding activities. Fliegerschule is not a club, but a specialized flight training organization that offers tailored aviation training for aspiring pilots and for those who want to further develop their skills.
The main training offerings include LAPL (Light Aircraft Pilot License), PPL (Private Pilot License), theory instruction, aerobatics training, support for the BZF II radio telephony authorization, flight instructor training (FI) and simulator sessions.
